You need a break. You know you need some time away to concentrate on yourself, to have some space, and you’d love to find a weekend retreat but spending a night (or 2) away from home is just a bit too much to give ask.

 I get it. Oh, how I get it.

Introducing the Live Happier Day Retreats.

I’m often asked, “when are you going to have another retreat.” And my answer is I don’t know. I LOVE retreats I love the space they provide, the time away, the chance to meet new people and learn new things AND I hate sharing a room and/or a bathroom.  So I am experimenting with a wonderful concept of Day Retreats.

A chance to do a deep dive into different topics including:

The Art of Slowing Down:  You WANT to slow down, you WANT to step off the treadmill. And yet, you have so much to do, and your to-do list always trumps your desire to slow down. I get it we will have plates that runneth over. AND I know that even if some magical wish were granted and you received a day of nothing a free pass from your to-do list, and even better everything that you were supposed to get done would get done (to your standards) you would STILL struggle with taking a day to do nothing.  What’s that about?!!  The thing we SAY we want the most is also the thing that we don’t know how to enjoy.  Join me as we explore this topic in more depth.

Mongers, BFFs and Biggest Fans! A Deep Dive into all things Monger…frequently people ask I don’t know who is talking to me? Is it my Monger, BFF or Biggest Fan? Am I self-sabotaging or being kind to myself or both? What does my Biggest Fan sound like? Why does my Monger always chime in when I am on to something big?   Join me to explore these 3 characters and how they are influencing your life and how to come to know and love them (and not always listen to them!)

Who’s the day retreat for?

The Happier-Approach Day Retreat might be just what you need if you:

  • You’ve been feeling a little (or a lot) stuck
  • You self-identify with being a perfectionist, and you’re pretty sure that’s what drives you
  • This isn’t how you imaged your life to be, and you aren’t sure what you want, but this isn’t it
  • You are open, and willing to show up and be curious
  • You can hold space and reserve judgment and advice for others
  • Have been looking to create some retreat space to give yourself, but can’t commit to more than a day away

Each session is stand alone so you can attend 1 or both

The retreats will take place at a Farm House built in 1820 near Lancaster, Ohio (approx 30-40 mins SE of Columbus).  With over 40 acres of rolling hills, a heated pool, and comfortable places to curl up with your journal, a good book or just a place to sit and listen to the birds this place is the perfect place to disconnect for the day.

Lunch will be provided and is included in the cost.

The Happier Approach will be provided to each attendee. Feel free to bring a journal, book to read and a swimsuit if you want to go swimming.

Space is limited I want these to be small, so we can maximize time with each other and time alone.

Schedule

Saturday, July 28th, 9 am – 6 pm at the Lancaster Farm House (30-40 mins SE of Lancaster)

Cost

$175 includes a copy of The Happier Approach book, lunch and other surprises

FAQ

Q: WHAT DOES IT COST AND DO YOU HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN?

A: The cost to attend a is $175. Once your application has been approved, I’ll send you a link to pay and reserve your spot. I don’t have a payment plan, but I only require you to pay a deposit of $50 to reserve your spot. The balance can be paid the day of the retreat.

Q: WHY DO I HAVE TO APPLY?

This is my most intimate, personal, cozy offering, so I want to make sure everyone will feel welcome and at home. Also, the application process will help us get to know each other, and it gives me insight into the needs of each individual so I can tailor our discussions and make sure that everyone is a great fit for the group. That’s also why I am capping the group off at 10 people. 

Q: I’M NOT SURE I CAN MAKE IT TO THE EVENT SHOULD I STILL APPLY?

A: YES! And please do. There’s no obligation to attend either day to complete the application.

Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

A: Yourself, and an open mind and heart. (And maybe a swimsuit, if you’d like to take a deep in the pool.)

Q: WILL YOU HAVE COFFEE? I NEED COFFEE!

A: Of course!! I wouldn’t be able to function without it either. In addition, there will be plenty of refreshments throughout and a complimentary lunch will be provided.

Q: THIS SOUNDS PERFECT, BUT I’M AN INTROVERT, WHAT HAPPENS IF I WAKE UP THE DAY OF THE RETREAT AND FIND I’M DEEP INTO INTROVERTING?

A: Oh, how I completely understand. I’m introvert too, and I know there are times when an event sounds amazing, and then I wake up the morning of, and I just don’t feel like people-ing. I’d like to encourage you to still come. I’ve kept the groups purposely small, so there won’t be a lot of loud, crazy energy to navigate. PLUS, there are 40 acres, plenty of room to carve out your own space. If you feel like spending your morning by yourself in quiet reflection, you can. If you want to show up in jammies and just drink your coffee before talking to anyone, that’s works too.

Q: DO I NEED TO HAVE READ THE BOOK BEFORE I CAN ATTEND?

A: No, books will be provided, and there will be plenty of time to read parts throughout the day. Plus, I will be giving refreshers to some of the bigger concepts before each of our break out sessions.

Q: I’VE READ THE HAPPIER APPROACH, IS THIS RETREAT ONLY FOR PEOPLE NEW TO YOUR WORK?

A: No, this is for everyone, wherever they are in their process. There will be some refreshers about the concepts in the book, but I believe we can always go deeper and come away with new knowledge.

Q: HOW LONG AFTER I’VE COMPLETED THE APPLICATION SHOULD I EXPECT BEFORE I HEAR FROM YOU?

A: I’m trying to respond to each application within 48-72 hours, sooner as we get closer to the retreat.

Q: I’D LOVE TO ATTEND, BUT I’M NOT SURE I CAN MAKE IT FOR THE ENTIRE DAY, MAY I COME LATE/LEAVE EARLY? 

A: Yes. All are welcome. You are free to arrive late or leave early should you need to. Please indicate on your application if you will be arriving late or leaving early so we can plan when to expect you and can accommodate you accordingly.

Q: WHAT IF I HAVE A LAST MINUTE EMERGENCY, CAN I GET A REFUND?

A: Because I have reserved space for you in the group, deposits cannot be refunded for last minute cancellations. Deposits can be refunded for cancellations made with at least one week notice.

Q: WHY AM I JUST FINDING OUT ABOUT THIS RETREAT? THIS IS PERFECT, BUT THE RETREAT IS TOMORROW, CAN I STILL ATTEND?

A: I’m not sure why we haven’t met earlier, but welcome! As long as there are still spots left, we’d love to have you join us. Feel free to fill out an application last minute, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you and get back to you as soon as possible.
