You are tired of feeling depleted and frustrated with life.

You are ready to make a change, and you don’t know how.
From the outside looking in you have it all together, and your favorite mantra is, “I should be happy.” But let’s be honest. You aren’t. And that’s ok. You can’t will yourself happy. You also can’t hustle your way there.
Here’s the secret, happiness isn’t something you find out there. Instead, it is something you find within.
Happiness is an inside job.
For years, I thought happiness was something I could find. If only I were skinny enough, diligent enough, rich enough, driven enough. Finally exhausted, stressed out and BEYOND frustrated I decided to stop. Just stop pushing and start listening to myself.
To be honest, the last thing I wanted to do was slow down; I am a Type A, achiever. But through easy, quick rituals that served as a daily interruption of my set patterns, I was able to find more peace in my day to day life.
I certainly don’t have all the answers, but I do have strategies that work. Using a combo of my experience, my client’s experience and years of studying I have developed a number of practices that can help you move from tired and frustrated to happier. These methods help you let go of the guilt, the anger, and the chaos and help you show up for yourself so you can live happier.
Like I said I am a type A personality so I place a high value on education and have dedicated a good portion of my life to learning as much as I can. My undergraduate degree in Psychology came from Miami University and was followed by two Masters Degrees from the University of Dayton, one in Higher Education and one in Community Counseling. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with eleven years in private practice and almost 20 years working as a counselor/coach, including working as a career counselor at Otterbein College and Capital University before getting my Masters in counseling. I value continuing education and training in Gestalt psychotherapy and am certified in both Myers-Briggs® and Strong Career Assessments®. In 2015, I became a certified Daring Way™ facilitator based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown.
I have written three books with tips, lessons, and stories The Happier Approach: Be Kind to Yourself, Feel Happier and Still Accomplish Your Goals, Living Happier. Juice Squeezed, Lessons Learned in a Quest to Live Happier and This Stuff is Hard, Making Peace with Your Anxiety.
I believe authenticity and humor are essential to developing a real bond with my clients and making change. I want you to be comfortable and have a good time – after all, I’m here to help you live a happier life, not a more serious one!
